How long do wooden windows last?
A well-made and properly maintained wooden window will last 50 to 80 years, often longer. The original timber windows in many London Victorian terraces are still in service after 140 years. Longevity depends on the quality of manufacture, the timber species used and regular maintenance — painting or staining every 5 to 8 years.
Are wooden windows energy efficient?
